Tech Data Mobile has announced the immediate availability of the new range of dual-SIM feature phone and Android smartphone devices from ARCHOS.
The first ARCHOS devices to be made available by Tech Data Mobile are the new ARCHOS 55 Platinum, ARCHOS F24 Power and ARCHOS 50e Helium. With powerful feature sets and attractive designs, these devices are really appealing options for consumers or B2B customers looking for great-looking mobile phones that are powerful, versatile and affordable.
While ARCHOS has a strong brand position in Europe, in both the smartphone and tablet segments, ARCHOS has been less visible to date in the UK, even though many of its products have been available under different brands due to their extensive hardware licensing agreements.
This now looks set to change, said Matt Child, Managing Director of Tech Data Mobile. “Many buyers are becoming increasingly selective and seeking out mobile devices that meet their exact needs. They want to get all the power and features they need on a smartphone, but also the very best value. For these customers, a challenger brand like ARCHOS is ideal and it enables mobile dealers and retailers to offer consumers and B2B users added choice and value.”
Rakesh Odedra, Sales Director at ARCHOS, stated: “Whilst there is demand for the top two, tier-one brands, there are also many consumers and B2B customers now actively doing their research, who see beyond the badge. They want to get the same level of design, quality and specification on a feature phone, smartphone or tablet but also at the very best value, so they are now turning to fast and focused, regional heroes that have the necessary engineering capability, including certification approvals, and ARCHOS is the perfect choice.”
Tech Data Mobile offers a wide range of smartphones from leading vendors such as Samsung and Motorola. It is also an authorised distributor for the iPhone and the leading distributor for the Microsoft Lumia smartphones in the UK. In a response to changing market demands, Tech Data Mobile is also placing greater emphasis on a number of challenger brands, with a portfolio that now includes multi-OS products from the likes of Alcatel OneTouch and BQ and ARCHOS. It continues to invest in its people and processes with the aim of becoming the leading distributor of mobile devices and services for B2B resellers and specialist mobile dealers in the UK.
